Tin Pot Creamery is a small batch ice creamery with a production kitchen and several scoop shops in the Bay Area. The team at Tin Pot handcrafts ice creams, toppings, sauces, mix-ins and baked goods every day. The menu changes seasonally and there is a strong emphasis on organic and local ingredients. Position overview

Reports to Production Operations Manager

Physical Requirements:

● The ability to lift up to 75 lbs. multiple times a day
● Frequent standing/walking during delivery activities, up to 2 miles daily
● Frequent sitting throughout work shift up to 60 minutes at one time
● Frequent lifting using both hands/arms, typical weights 10-60 lbs
● Frequent carrying of 10-75 lbs
● Frequent push/pulling using both hands/arms, approximately 30-100 lbs. exertion, depending on weight of load on hand truck and whether climbing stairs
● Frequent bending/crouching/squatting at waist or knees during delivery
● Frequent twisting waist/neck in normal range required while driving
● Frequent climbing and balancing in and out of car
● Frequent use of feet in operation of foot pedals

Educational Requirements:

● Valid Driver's License
● Clean driving record
● 6 months professional driving experience, experience driving a 16 foot box truck preferable
● ServSafe food handler’s certificate or ability to obtain within 2 weeks of hire
● Able to read a map/guide. Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws
● Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and operation
● Able to read, write and communicate in English as it relates to the job and safety regulations

Duties & Responsibilities:

● Create an efficient delivery route based on day's orders
● Use order forms to pack and fulfill orders accurately
● Load truck with orders
● Drive delivery truck to retail stores, wholesale & catering customers
● Unpack orders at retail stores, wholesale and catering locations
● With a friendly and helpful demeanor, deliver correct order & invoices to customers
● Clean out delivery vehicle after each route
● Help maintain the quality and cleanliness of company vehicle, and fill gas as needed.
● Learn what all menu items are supposed to look and taste like, and maintain quality
● Organizes ice cream and other products; practices “first in, first out” (FIFO)
● Responsible for maintaining organization of freezer
● Accurately complete inventory tasks
● Inform management of any off-tasting, off-looking, or off-smelling products immediately
● Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of truck and equipment; use equipment only as intended, properly and safely
● Maintain proper storage procedures
● Minimize waste
● Maintains the production kitchen’s appearance through stocking and cleaning, follows sanitation guidelines
● All other duties as assigned
